A Delhi woman is feeling better than she’s felt most of her life. It’s because she’s finally found something to help with her depression.
When Colleen Casey was 6 years old, she tried to commit suicide by standing in front of a car. It would not be her last time. She says she grew up in abuse and graduated from college and had a family—seemingly her life looked normal, but she said she suffered from depression and took over 30 different kinds of pills.
However, it wasn’t until she tried TMS or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation that her life got better.
It’s a procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain that affect mood.
Mental health experts say women suffer from depression twice as much as men, and the reasons vary.
